Random photos of the weekend

Some random photos of the weekend. In no particular order, nurseries, plants and flowers and meals out.

We even managed to sit outside, in England, in July.

Cars

Another interest of ours is Classic and Modified Cars. Last Thursday being a rare nice day and evening we went to a local meet.

It's held at Stoney Cove, a National Diving Centre

These are some of the cars. From here the captions are from my OH who knows alot more about it than I do. I would just say "the yellow one"

Home brewed V8 hot rod, the grille is from a 1930's Ford model 'Y' - the rest????

Dodge of some sort, early '60s I think.

Stretched Checker, probably originally an airport bus. Now belongs to a local limo hire company.

1950(?) Buick with tooth decay. Should have brushed more often.

Satin black 1932 Ford "deuce' coupe. The pinstriping on the boot is a traditional hot rod touch.

Summer Flowers and Rain

So far this summer, there has been rather a lot of rain. I'm sure that this time last year I was on my second bottle of sun cream and last year wasn't that sunny either.

Its a good thing for me though, as I'm not all that keen on the sun and much prefer the autumn and winter.

Home grown strawberries from our allotment.

I'm very pleased with the lobelia, this is "home grown" as well

I really hope those hanging baskets fill out soon.

The Obelisk is on its last legs.

Day lilies about to flower

Barracca

We have been to quite a few NGS Open Gardens, but this one was the best by far.

Join us on a walk around.

I loved the house.

Market Bosworth

Coffee and cake on a Sunday afternoon

Bosworth Water Park

Big catch up time on blogger.

We went here, Bosworth Water Park. Lots of water sports available to do which isn't really our cup of tea but it makes a nice setting.

It was quite busy with quite a few people camping.
