New Years Day 2013

Abbey Park on New Years Day. As you know we do go here a lot both in the Summer and Winter. We would have liked to have gone into the cafe but it was rather busy. The sun did make an appearance for us as well.

Do you like this? not sure it would be very comfortable though.

The planting looks rather bleak at this time of year, but it does get better.

We bought a new camera for Christmas so the next couple of photos are us playing with the camera.

 The tea rooms was open, we really really didn't expect it to be, so of course we just had to go in.

After that we had a nice walk before going into town to spend some Christmas money and something to eat.

Lots of promise for the spring and summer.

Its a dreary day here, its warm for November, unseasonably so, but it is dreary and damp. I was thinking of going to the allotment, but I think it will be still damp, even this afternoon but we shall see.

So its a look back of the year tim, to warmer nicer things.

An unexpected day out

We were going to go out tomorrow to Open Farm Sunday, we thought it would be something new that we hadn't seen or done before, however, the weather doesn't promise to be good, and it seemed okay today, so I suggested today to be the day out. Very nice it was as well :-), not that I was surprised all our days out are nice.

First of all we decided that we needed some more gravel for the garden, so that meant a trip to B&Q, which happens to have a park opposite - Abbey Park, which also happens to have a Tea Rooms

He was more than happy nibbling, just before a small child ran after the poor thing.

Then after the domestic trip to B&Q we went to New Walk Museum for some nibbles for us.
