Kings Lock Tea Rooms

Finally we visited this Tea Rooms. Its by the canal so you have to pick the weather for it.

It was sunnier than it looks, I really must learn how to take a decent picture

We did have to explore a bit as the map left a little to be desired. The map placed us on the wrong side of the canal!

Thankfully, we did go in the right direction.

The house itself has been here for rather along time and was once the Lock Keepers house.

You can tell that it obviously was once a home.

Its me not taking the photo straight, btw not the room.

Christmas Eve at Bradgate Park

I know its rather late in the day how, but never the less, this was our walk at Bradgate Park on Christmas Eve.

We usually do go here and many many times throughout they year. You never tire of the view.

Had to just show you this first.

Very buzy with lots of people doing the same as us.

Hope you enjoyed that as much as we did. The weather was kind to us this year. We had ice and snow last year, which you would expect, being as it was December but dosn't make it easy to get around.

November is Birthday Month

Well, its arrived, it wasn't today btw, but it was this month.
The big 4-0

I really can't understand how it happened, when I was 18 this was never going to happen ;-)

We went to Bradgate Park and Jade Tearooms for dinner.

A few hardy people were seated outside, and although its unseasonably warm, a November birthday can't really include lunch outside.

We came to Bradgate Park last year for my birthday, I'm sure it was icy then.

A rare treat to see one of these close up. They do live in the park, but you don't very oftern see them this close.

It was a good day, and was after dark when we got back home.
